The three main purposes of doing this project were to develop our creative problem-solving skills, to become adept at project management, and to understand and then strengthen our own creative process, allowing us to consistently deliver at industry standards in the future.
That’s what this module is partly about after all, developing a high level of understanding of our strengths and how we as individuals operate in the creative industries in order to capitalize on both personal and professional opportunities in those industries.
From doing this project I’ve learned to I can rely on myself to complete more projects like this in the future and that others can rely on me as well as long as I promote that as one of my strengths.
How you present yourself, how you speak, and how prepared you are—these are not only things that compose your first impression, they are also components of what kind of lasting impression you leave on the people you are hoping to bring into your network.
There are no rules to design thinking, managing a business, building a startup, etc. Innovation is learning to critically analyze the information presented to you and then adapting it to the specific needs of your business.
After already building the company and working with a product for months, you’d think pitching the idea would be easier than it actually was. However, it is not enough to know your company and your product inside-out.
By reading the business report judges and investors need to have enough information in order to understand not only how your business is currently operating, but also whether or not it can continue to operate well in the future.
